Adult to Adult

Adult to Adult

Always remember that in the vast preponderance of interactions you are dealing with adults who, like you, aren’t damaged. They can listen objectively, and make decisions based on evidence and perceived value, and will ask questions if they need clarification.

Ergo: Don’t tell people everything you know, only what they need to know. Don’t assume they are somehow at fault or to blame. Move quickly onward if they openly agree with you and aren’t asking questions.

My best primary school teachers treated me like a young adult, which was highly effective. How ironic that many people who want to impress me today treat me like a slow-learning child, and quickly lose my interest.

How are you presenting yourself?
