One big difference is that small amounts of beer or wine–especially red wine–have positive effects on people’s health. There are no positive effects from any amount of tobacco use.

What disappoints me is that they’re still selling homeopathic drugs, which are based on theories (e.g., the fewer active molecules in the vial, the more powerful the effect) that fly in the face of basic scientific principles. That’s just fraud that exploits the ignorant and desperate.

They also sell candy, junk food, and soda.

What is different about tobacco? I believe it is the only one that is universally deleterious even in moderation.

Nonetheless, if CVS really wants to make health and wellness the top priority, there is a lot of stuff they should quit selling.
