My newest Dumb Ass Stupid Management Award goes to Gerstner. They make jewelry cases and the like, and brag about their history, elevated mission statement, customer service, and the usual. Talk is cheap.
I ordered a nice piece. They affix their nameplate to the bottom drawer, which is fine with me, but it’s very crooked, a botched job, which mars the workmanship considerably. I wrote them at both their “customer service” and “customer suggestions” addresses. That was a week ago. You guessed it: Nothing back.
Talk is cheap. Someone did an uncaring job assembling the chest, there was no quality control, and the person shipping it didn’t care or doesn’t look. On top of that, they obviously don’t care about responsiveness at all.
Another company with better PR than management, more volume than values.
