More Charleston

More Charleston

We visited the incredible John C. Calhoun mansion, the CSS Hunley (first submarine to sink an enemy ship, 1863, not accomplished again until 1914), and the Middleton Plantation. You can see all the photos on my Facebook page.

I did get the chance to mediate a confrontation between an alligator and turtle, so please never think that I can’t handle you.

The Charleston Place Hotel

The CSS Hunley is preservation liquid.

Just another average day facilitating reptiles.

Phew! That alligator should thank you, Alan. You just saved his life.

How remarkable to see the USS Hunley! What that crew went through in terms of training and risk was something else. All perished ultimately after their success. Thanks for sharing this, Alan!
