Rin Tin Tin was found as a puppy in a litter during fighting in WWI. He became a silent film star and began a legacy. Shepherds weren’t recognized as a breed until about 1898 or so. The AKC doesn’t allow white Shepherds like Koufax to be shown in events, because the AKC is as about dogs as the Fifth Armored Division is about protecting enemy property.

    Alan,

Another good one. I grew up watching Rin Tin Tin as a young boy and remember it fondly.

A few months back I saw a TV commercial (can’t remember the product) but it showed a woman going out for a jog with a white German Sheppard. When I saw it I thought it might have been Koufax was it?

No, but he was in the opening scene of The Nutcracker one year!
