The Correct Wine for Hot Dogs

Our granddaughters are sleeping over, so we decided to stay in tonight (we took them out last night to a restaurant on the water, and were rewarded with a swan cruising over for a handout). My wife is a superb cook, she just doesn’t cook. But she made world class hot dogs, which required a 2006 Chateauneuf-du-Pape, itself a world-class wine. It is, trust me, perfect for hot dogs.

  1. Great wine is great wine, and I don’t need much of an excuse to consume it. The pretension over special foods and so forth really leaves me cold, just as people who sniff a cork, which tells you nothing.
