(The Dog Star is a symbol of power, will, and steadfastness of purpose, and exemplifies the One who has succeeded in bridging the lower and higher consciousness. – Astrological Definition)
I’ve been marveling at how well Bentley has continued to improve catching Frisbees. He’s a real athlete, and as I make tougher and longer throws, he constantly improves his technique.
Then it struck me that the practice together is what has enabled me to make longer throws. I’m a far better Frisbee tosser than I was when Bentley was a pup.
And so it goes in all of our lives and work. The more we challenge someone else to grow, the more we grow ourselves. It’s a wonderful reciprocity if we’re determined not to allow others to simply perform at minimum standards. When they maximize, we maximize.
