I used to use Scotts Lawn Care which took care of my lawns nicely. It’s a big place. Then Scotts was purchased by TruGreen, one of the worst service firms I’ve ever experienced.
Their treatments consistently make the lawns look worse with idiotic excuses (it’s too hot; it’s too dry; it’s too varied). Once they treated the wrong property, because they have such high turnover and untrained personnel. They leave you notes about what they did, but they simply judge their success on doing things, not on results of doing things. A supervisor came out and said things would be corrected. They weren’t. I should have sent Bentley out into the yard.
The general manager refuses to return calls, His “service” people are snarky when you can get them on the phone (all their service notifications are automated and impersonal). I fired them, and they’re bent out of shape. But management still won’t talk to a customer.
Some detached moron in Memphis headquarters is responsible for the GM running things up here, and probably is simply looking at volumes of fertilizer used. I’ll tell you right now where that fertilizer ought to be dumped.
If you need lawn care in the spring, do NOT sign up with this crowd. You’re better off renting goats, which also have a higher degree of intellect.
