Get the Shot

I realize there are benighted (and dangerous) people out there with paranoia about having kids vaccinated. But if you are deciding not to get a flu shot, think again. You can’t get the flu from a flu shot. It’s not 100% effective but is effective in preventing the flu, and it’s especially important for children and the elderly.

People are already dying from the flu this year, as I write this. Go get a free flu shot at CVS or other places where insurance pays for them, or lay out the cash if you have to. It could be a matter of life and death,

    Thanks for the encouragement. One thing many don’t know is that the shots are cumulative. Each year has a different formulation for the strain most expected this year. But the protection from last year’s shot (and the ones before that) are also active in your body. So when the guess is wrong (not uncommon) you still have some protection, perhaps, from previous years.
