Rumination and Worry

Rumination and Worry

Many people “ruminate.” While that can mean to think deeply, it usually means that they are worried about something. (We tend to ruminate about the past and worry about the future—a pretty depressing cocktail.)

Stop carrying things around with you. You can’t unring a bell or undo a deed. Learn from mistakes, but stop obsessing about them. Otherwise, you’ll be undermined and ineffective, and that’s really something to worry about.
