Who’s Judging You?

Who’s Judging You?

Many of us demean ourselves by using others’ metrics. This is when your parents said, “You did very well academically, but not as well as your sister.”

If you want to make your life better immediately, use your own measures of progress and success, not somebody else’s. You don’t have to sing as well as Sinatra to sing well. And the danger of judging yourself by others is that those others sometimes turn out to be Lance Armstrong, Bill Cosby, Bernie Madoff, and Welles Fargo.
